CAMPSITE RULES AND REGULATIONS

From 15th January 2022

These rules apply to all persons present at the NATURISTE holiday village “LA CHIAPPA” 20137 – PORTO VECCHIO, whatever their status.

NATURIST ETHICS.

The client will settle on the site subject to respect for naturist ethics, good behaviour, respect for others and the practice of nudity when the weather permits.

But nudity is not exhibitionism, and any behaviour contrary to public decency will be punished by immediate expulsion. Offenders will no longer be accepted on the campsite.

1°- OPENING – CLOSING OF THE CAMPSITE

The campsite is closed from 1st October to 10th May. (Dates may vary according to the calendar in relation to weekends).

No exceptions may be made to this rule, and no-one is authorised to stay or enter the premises outside the opening dates.

Out of season: the gates at the entrance to the village will be closed. Anyone wishing to enter the village must contact the management or the caretaker.

High season (10 May – 30 September): the main entrance gate will be open from 8am to 11.30pm and the reception gate will be closed.

2°- reception desk – RECEPTION

Opening hours :

  • Low season: 8am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm (closed on Saturdays and Sundays).
  • High season: open every day from 8am to 7pm.

At the reception desk, you’ll find all the information you need about services in the village, refreshments, sports facilities, exploring the surrounding area and other useful addresses.

3°- admission conditions

To be allowed to enter and settle on a campsite, you must have been authorised to do so by the person in charge of the reception desk, or by the operator.

Staying on the campsite implies acceptance of the provisions of these regulations and an undertaking to comply with them.

Any infringement may result in the expulsion of the offender, with recourse to the police if necessary.

4°- Police formalities

Anyone wishing to stay in the village for at least one day or one night must first go to the reception desk with their identity card and complete the formalities required by the police. (Pursuant to the provisions of Decree no. 75-410 of 20 May 1975, only foreign campers are now subject to these police formalities).

5°- installation

Tents, caravans, camper vans, trailers, cars, motorbikes, boats or any other equipment must be installed on the pitch indicated by the operator, in accordance with the instructions given at reception by the manager or his representative.

Users must respect the general aesthetics of the campsite, in particular, the plot must not be encumbered by any other installation or movable property other than the caravan, tent or camper van, in accordance with the regulations on open-air hotels.

6°- fees

Fees and the cost of the stay are paid at the reception desk on the day of installation. The amount is set according to the posted tariff. They are due according to the number of nights spent on the site.

Campsite users are asked to inform the reception office of their departure the day before.

Campers intending to leave before the reception desk opens must complete all departure formalities the day before.

The reserved camping pitch will be made available from 12 noon on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 12 noon on the day of departure.

For Bungalows and Villas: On the day of arrival the keys will be handed over at 3 p.m.. On the day of departure, the keys must be returned to reception by 10 a.m.

In the event of late departure, a supplement will be charged.

7°- noise and silence

Campsite users are urged to avoid any noise or chatter that might disturb their neighbours.

Sound equipment must be adjusted accordingly. Door and boot locks must be as discreet as possible.

Dogs and other animals must never be allowed to run at large and must be kept on a lead inside the camp. They must not be left, even locked up, in the absence of their owners, who are civilly responsible for them. Their owners are responsible for keeping their pets clean.

8°- Visitors

Visitors may be admitted to the village under the responsibility of the campers who receive them during the day only. They must declare the number of people and leave an identity document at the reception desk, which will be returned to them when they leave.

If the visit lasts more than one hour, they are required to pay a fee per visitor.

Visitors, or guests of customers, will be required to pay a visitor entry fee (visit lasting more than 1 hour) of : 10 Euros per day for adults and 5 Euros per day for children aged 13 and over.

Dogs are strictly forbidden for visitors or anyone not staying in the village.

All activities offered by SA DU PHARE are reserved exclusively for customers staying at the campsite, with the exception of the diving school and windsurfing.

9°- vehicle traffic and parking

Inside the campsite, vehicles must drive at a speed limited to 15 km/hour and respect the signs inside the campsite.

Traffic is prohibited except on the day of arrival and departure.

Free and compulsory parking in the car park at the entrance to the village: users are asked to take the usual precautions to protect their vehicles and equipment.

Only vehicles belonging to campers staying at the campsite on the day of their arrival or departure may circulate in the campsite. Parking must not impede traffic or prevent new arrivals from settling in.

From opening to closing, vehicles must park in the car parks located at the entrance.

It is strictly forbidden to park a car on the campsite.

However, special authorisation is granted to people with reduced mobility and/or disabilities on presentation of a supporting document.

Visitors must park their vehicle outside the campsite and report their arrival to the reception desk, where they will leave an identity document to be collected on leaving.

10°- RENTAL CONDITIONS

Everyone is required to refrain from any action that could damage the cleanliness, hygiene and appearance of the camp.

It is forbidden to dump polluted water on the ground or in the gutters.

Campervans and caravanners must empty their waste water into the facilities provided for this purpose.

Household refuse, waste of any kind and paper must be disposed of in the bins.

For SELECTIVE SEPARATION: containers are located at the entrance to the village.

It is forbidden to wash cars, boats or caravans inside the campsite.

It is forbidden to take water from the hydrants and fire hoses, as these are reserved for this purpose only, to the exclusion of all other uses;

Washing is strictly forbidden outside the washing up bins.

Laundry must be hung discreetly and not disturb neighbours. It must never be hung from trees.

Plantations and floral decorations must be respected. Campers are forbidden to hammer nails into trees, cut branches or plant trees.

All constructions and improvements are prohibited, except with the express written agreement of the operator.

Nor is it permitted to demarcate the site of an installation by personal means, or to dig up the ground.

Any damage to vegetation, fences, the ground or camp facilities will be charged to the person responsible.

Electrical power supplied: 8 amps (Maximum 10 amps)

The sanitary facilities will be closed out of season.

For information :
The “LE CHENE”, “LE BELVEDERE” and “LES ROSEAUX” toilets are open from 10 May to 30 September.
LE MAQUIS” toilets are open from 1 June to 20 September.
LE PHARE” is only open in July and August.
(Dates may vary according to the weekend calendar).

11°- safety

A- FIRE

Open fires of any kind, candles and particularly barbecues (wood, coal, etc.) are strictly forbidden. Stoves must be kept in good working order.

In the event of fire, immediately notify the Management, the Caretaker and/or telephone the fire brigade: 18.

Follow the safety instructions given to you on the information note when you arrive.

The assembly areas are on both beaches. (See evacuation plans)

A first-aid kit is available at the reception desk and at the Mini-Club, together with the telephone numbers of the various emergency services.

B- THEFT

The Management is only responsible for items left at the office, or safe deposit boxes can be hired.

Any suspicious person in the camp must be reported immediately to the manager.

Camp users are asked to take the usual precautions to safeguard their equipment stored on the camp. As the Management is not the custodian or guardian of the objects and equipment on the camp site, camp site users are asked to take the usual precautions to safeguard their equipment.

C- INSURANCE

It is the customer’s responsibility to insure themselves and their equipment. S.A. du PHARE declines all responsibility in the event of theft, fire, bad weather, etc. and in the event of incidents falling under the customer’s civil liability.

The customer releases the manager from any liability in the event of damage due to falling branches, bad weather, natural disasters, theft by break-in, glass breakage.

12°- games

No violent or disruptive games may be played in the vicinity of the facilities. Play areas are available to all and children are under the supervision and sole responsibility of their parents.

13°- Caravan parking

Unoccupied equipment may only be left on the site with the agreement of the Management and only in the designated area.

A fee is payable for parking a caravan outside the “Caravan Park” opening dates only after signing a parking contract with the Company.

The caravan must be in good working order, properly registered and insured.

It is strictly forbidden to store or leave equipment outside the caravan in the car park.

14°- camp manager

The camp manager is responsible for the order and good order of the camp. It is the manager’s duty to punish serious breaches of the rules and, if necessary, to expel those responsible.

In the event of a criminal offence or dispute, the camp manager may call in the police.

An assessment form for receiving complaints is available to users.

Complaints will only be taken into consideration if they are signed, dated, as precise as possible and relate to relatively recent events.

15°- caravans – camper vans.

Caravans and camper vans must keep their means of mobility in good condition at all times, i.e. :

  • Wheels with pneumatic tyres
  • Towing equipment
  • Regulatory braking and signalling devices

Campervans are only accepted for a minimum stay of three (3) nights.

16°- fences

It is strictly forbidden to add fences demarcating pitches or other boundaries without written authorisation from the Management. The pitch is a maximum of 100 M2 including the caravan.

It is compulsory to leave one side of the pitch open, on the caravan side, so that the caravan can be removed from the pitch in an emergency.

17° – SWIMMING

SWIMMING IN THE SEA IS UNSUPERVISED,

CHILDREN ARE UNDER THE SUPERVISION AND RESPONSIBILITY OF THEIR PARENTS;

Swimming in the pool is supervised at the times indicated at the main entrance. However, children under the age of 10 who cannot swim are under the supervision and responsibility of their parents.

Children under the age of 3 must wear swim nappies.

Shoes are forbidden and must be removed before the access door.

Showering is compulsory before swimming.

Swimming pool opening and closing dates :

The heated pool from 10 May to 30 September.
The large pool from 1 June to 20 September.
(Dates may vary according to the weekend calendar).

18°- Miscellaneous

Each caravan may install a removable canvas awning in front or to the side. It is strictly forbidden to install two.

Each awning must be dismantled on the day of departure.

No alterations may be made to pitches without prior written authorisation from the camp manager.

Pitches must be used for leisure purposes only, to the exclusion of all industrial, commercial, craft or professional activities.

The subletting of pitches and caravans is strictly forbidden.

Under no circumstances may users take up residence or set up their main home there: camping is a leisure activity.

RECEPTION OF MINORS.

For obvious reasons of safety (swimming pool, possible evacuation of the holiday village in the event of fire or weather warning, etc.) and health (possible hospitalisation during the stay, etc.), minors who are not accompanied by their parents are not admitted. Minors on the campsite are the sole responsibility of their parents and must stay on the same pitch as their parents.

Furthermore, the holiday village “LA CHIAPPA” is not authorised, within the meaning of decree no. 2002-883 of 03 May 2002 relating to the protection of minors, on the occasion of school holidays, professional holidays and laws, to provide group or individual stays away from the family home for minors under the age of 18, unaccompanied by their legal guardians.

Special clauses:

As “La Chiappa” is a Naturist village, it is strictly forbidden to film or take photographs of children and/or adults without their express permission.

During their stay, all campsite guests must leave an identity document at reception on the day of their arrival, which will be returned to them at the end of their stay.

Dogs are exceptionally allowed on the campsite (except category 1 and 2) for a fee of 10 Euros per day.

However, a maximum of one dog per accommodation or camping pitch is allowed.

Dogs must be kept on a lead and owners must ensure that the environment is kept clean.

It is strictly forbidden to wash the dog in the sanitary facilities. There is a special shower for DOGS opposite the “Le Chêne” toilet block in the centre of the campsite.

For reasons of hygiene, dogs are strictly forbidden at the swimming pool and on the beach.

Article 12 of the Decree of 9 February 1968:

“No one may enter a developed camping or caravanning site (…) and settle there without the agreement of the site manager or his representative”.

“No-one may remain on the site if they do not comply with the internal regulations approved by the classification order”.

These rules may be consulted at reception and will be given to customers on request.
